The part you're referring to is actually more toward the middle, (at least I think so) but whatever. Well, it's not like you're going to be sitting there, there's a part in the background. But what I'd assume they'd do is use the main melody (that keyboard or synth or whatever) and use that as the guitar part. It's not what the guitar plays, but it's not much different than using 2 guitars, as they've done in the past on more than one occasion.
