I dunno the source but you can emulate that vowel-like sound pretty easily. There's a vsti in FL studio called "Buzz Generator Adapter" with a preset called "rectal anarchy" that emulates those sounds. it has a cool setting that can morph between all the vowels that i use a lot. a lot of other synths have vowel-like sounds like that too

theyre useing hardware samplers, they took samples off records or other sources and put them into banks. the pads are sort of like a trigger. THis looks and sounds easy but with those old samplers its very time consuming and technical. Alot of old hip hop and dance music was made on those things. Now its done with computer programs.
